The League of Women Voters Newton is participating in a national League education study on The Role of the Federal Government in Public Education. An informational meeting will be held on Monday, October 3 from 7:00-9:30 p.m. in the Newton City Hall cafeteria. We are honored to have David Fleishman, Superintendent, and Ann Koufman, Deputy Superintendent for Teaching and Learning of the Newton Public Schools as resources for our education study discussion. The study includes questions on Common Core Standards and Equity and Funding. The meeting is open to the public, especially potential League members.
